
On 29 June 2000, the Management Company for Credit Institutions Deposit Guarantee Funds (Sociedad Gestora de los Fondos de Garantía de Depósitos en Entidades de Crédito, AIE) was set up with the sole purpose of managing and administering the Funds’ capital, in accordance with the instructions received from the Credit Institution Deposit Guarantee Funds (Fondos de Garantía de Depósitos en Entidades de Crédito).
The Company’s capital is 999,000 euros and is divided into three equal holdings subscribed to by the three FGDs. On July 15, 2009 the Fund for Orderly Bank Restructuring joined as associate without capital contribution.
The economic regime consists of having its expenses reimbursed by its members.
It is governed by the provisions contained in Law 12/1991 of 29 April, on Economic Interest Groupings, other legal provisions, and by its Statutes and the service performance contracts signed with each associates.
The purpose of the Company is the rendering of auxiliary services to its associates in accordance with the instructions of the same ones.
The Company has a Controlling Council made up of three members representing each of the three Deposit Guarantee Funds.
