PUBLIC NOTICE

On February 1, 2007, a ruling dictated by the Court of First Instance nº 4 of Madrid has been notified, on execution of judicial titles nº 1.521/2005, bringed by Mr. Domingo López Alonso against Barclays Bank, SA, claiming € 1.312.616.167,34 as compensation for damages and prejudices.

The ruling considers the opposition inserted by Barclays Bank SA, - which acts under the judicial direction and economic covering of the Deposit Guarantee Fund for Banking Establishments “stating no amount has to be paid as damages and prejudices”.
